In the fourth quarter of 2022, the performance of the top five third-person games in the Middle East showed diverse trends in downloads, revenue, and active users. Here’s a closer look at how these games fared, based on data from Sensor Tower.

Subway Surfers from SYBO Games saw steady weekly downloads throughout the quarter, starting at approximately 117K at the end of September and slightly dipping to around 85K in late October. The game ended the year with a notable uptick, reaching nearly 113K downloads in the last week of December. Weekly revenue fluctuated, peaking at about $5.9K in the final week of December, while weekly active users ranged from around 3.4M to over 4M.

PUBG MOBILE by Level Infinite experienced significant weekly revenue, starting at $1.3M at the end of September and peaking at approximately $1.55M in the last week of December. Weekly downloads remained relatively stable, hovering around 70K to 77K, with a slight increase to 77K in the final week. Active users ranged from around 2.5M to 2.7M throughout the quarter.

Number Master: Run and merge by KAYAC Inc. had a remarkable increase in weekly downloads, starting from just 35 at the end of September and skyrocketing to nearly 199K by the end of November. Active users showed a similar upward trajectory, peaking at approximately 216K in late November before settling to around 162K in the last week of December.

Free Fire: 7th Anniversary from Garena International I maintained consistent weekly downloads around 50K to 60K, with a slight increase towards the end of December, reaching about 58K. Weekly revenue showed a steady growth, peaking at around $151K in mid-December. The game consistently engaged over 2.2M active users, peaking at approximately 2.36M in the last week of December.

Gangster Hero by Zego Studio saw a decline in weekly downloads, starting at approximately 118K at the beginning of October and dropping to 9.4K by the end of December. Active users also showed a downward trend, starting at around 159K in early October and decreasing to about 105K by the end of the year.
